From early on, Theodore “Teddy” Maier had the itch to race bikes. “Everyone surrounding me was riding dirt bikes,” he remembers. “I started riding at age four.” And he’s been riding ever since.

With a regimen of road biking and light weight training, Teddy has gone on to win the 2009 CMRC MX2 championship and hopes to win the 2011 CMRC MX1 championship. Along with the thrill of propelling body and bike over dirt hills and leaps, Teddy says that another advantage of amateur motocross racing for him is touring the country with his family. But along with the perks, also come drawbacks. “One of my greatest personal challenges has been coming back from an injury,” he says.

Teddy learned about Mannatech’s high-quality products from a friend who’s a health coach. Now, with his sights set on one day owning his own business, Teddy advises young motocross racers to remain diligent in training. “To make a living at racing motocross, you need to practice every day.”
