Faith Meets Commitment. Rip Oldmeadow does not hesitate to identify the source of his triumphs—a deep and abiding faith in God. "If you're successful in knowing Christ," he explains, "you can be successful in everything else!" Rip is a champion triathlete—meaning that within an intense, physically grueling 17-hour period, he can swim 2.4 miles in the ocean, ride a bicycle for 112 miles and run 26.2 miles. Indeed, triathletes can be described as athletes' athletes, combining extreme endurance, speed, strength, agility and more than a little determination not to let up or give up—no matter what. An Australian now living in Hawaii, Rip is also an accomplished stuntman, having subbed in one film for the legendary Jackie Chan (no slouch himself!).
