Master on the Mound. Jim Parque was a six-year major league baseball player between 1998 and 2003. A starting pitcher, he played for the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. After an impressive rookie year, the White Sox named him the team's "Pitcher of the Year." In 2000, Jim had another fine year, going 13-6 and starting Game 1 of the American League Championship Series. He also took a perfect game into the 7th inning against Cleveland in 1999, and got within a single inning of a no-hitter against Detroit in 2003.
