Up until the age of 18 Jarrod had had participated in various sports but ultimately chose Track and Field because of the individual challenge it provided him. He has already competed internationally and against many of the world’s best decathletes and is driven by these opportunities to better his personal best and achieve the highest possible result in his sport. Jarrod has enjoyed a constant progression of individual event personal bests, as well as cumulative point score personal bests over the past 6 years. At the Commonwealth Games selections trials, this year, Jarrod finished in 3rd place despite missing one event out of the ten. He went on to better this result, finishing 2nd place in separate competition with a point score of 7300.There is no doubt that 2011 looks bright for this all around athletic star.
