Jade Derfler - Martial Arts | Canada
Jade Derfler, a Master Instructor (4th degree black belt) in Tae Kwon Do has turned her focus from competition to teaching. At age 15, Jade received a YBEX (Youth Business Excellence) award for operating her school at a successful and profitable level. A former colored belt Canadian National champion and a bronze National champion at the black belt level, Jade began training at age seven and is currently working toward her goal of attaining a rank of Master, a fifth degree black belt. She had coached students at her own academy for 10 years before moving to South Korea for 2 years to further increase her knowledge and skills in the sport. While living there, she exceeded her life's dream of seeing the Kukkiwon, the World Tae Kwon Do Headquarters. She trained and taught Tae Kwon Do there and ultimately tested and obtained her 4th degree black belt there. Now she is back in Saskatchewan as owner and head instructor at her school, to pass on her increased knowledge and skills to her students. With an interest in business, Jade has pursued and attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan and plans to open another Tae Kwon Do academy along with other business ventures in the future.
"Mannatech products have greatly improved my performance in Tae Kwon Do and my overall health and concentration. They give me energy and endurance when I am training as well as when I am competing in tournaments."
