Jade Derfler - Martial Arts | Canada

Jade Derfler, a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do has turned her focus from competition to teaching and has coached students at her own academy for 10 years. At age 15, Jade received a YBEX (Youth Business Excellence) award for operating her school at a successful and profitable level. A former colored belt Canadian national champion and a bronze national champion at the black belt level, Jade began training at age seven and is currently working toward her goal of attaining a rank of fifth degree black belt.  With an interest in business, Jade has pursued and attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan and plans to open another Tae Kwon Do academy along with other businesses.
