Harry Muir - Baseball | Canada

He's Big League All the Way. Harry Muir's love of baseball has taken him to three continents, two national championships, "a cup of coffee" in the major leagues and even television. From 1991-1994, Harry pitched in the minor leagues for several teams in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He played in Rookie Ball, Rookie Advanced, Short Season "A" Ball and finally Long Season "A" Ball in the South Atlantic League. During the off-season months, he worked at a local baseball school, where he coached kids from 6-18. It was during his time with the Blue Jays that Harry was one of three minor leaguers featured in a poignant CBC-TV documentary about minor league baseball called "Chasing the Dream." In 1995, Harry moved to France to play pro baseball for the Premier League's Montpellier Barracudas. He went undefeated that year, and his team won the national title. Harry was named the League's "Import Pitcher of the Year." Harry first got into pro baseball when he earned a place on the 1990 Junior Canadian Baseball Team. He had tremendous success at the World Championships in Cuba, throwing a no-hitter and pitching against Team USA in the playoffs. Through this experience, Harry developed a greater appreciation for coaching and is now a coach with the London Majors of the Intercounty League. In this way, he now helps younger athletes chase their own "diamond dreams".
