Dianna Carda - Swimming | United States

When considering legendary all-around athletes, the names Jim Thorpe and Babe Didrickson Zaharias usually come to mind. Now here's another name that may eventually enter this elite circle--Dianna Carda. Always physically active, Dianna didn't enter organized athletic competitions until 2001, at age 45, when she started competing in national and international events sponsored by the Dwarf Athletic Association of America. Since then, Dianna has excelled in numerous sports, including shot put, discus, badminton and equestrian events. Her greatest athletic achievements, however, have been in the swimming pool, where she set world records in the butterfly (2001 and 2003)and backstroke (2005). Dianna continues to compete in swimming, resetting her own world records with the DAAA and improve her performance to qualify for the US ParaOlympics. In 2005, after 14 years of educational teaching, Dianna joined Mannatech as an international business building associate. Through personal consultations and facilitating workshops across the United States, Dianna uses her academic and athletic skills in teaching Total Body Wellness through diet, nutrition and fitness. She credits her faith in Jesus for her many life's blessings.
