Chris Loos - Football | United States

Victory on and off the Gridiron. It's difficult not to be moved by the story of Chris Loos. An All-State football lineman in high school, even before graduation, Chris was being heavily recruited by perennial gridiron powerhouses like Notre Dame, Michigan and Oklahoma. However, he chose to stay close to family and friends by accepting a scholarship to the University of Nebraska, where winning football is a passion. However, from his freshman through junior years, Chris was plagued by persistent knee and tendon injuries, and underwent several surgeries, plus rehabilitation. Doctors advised Chris to forget about football and just concentrate on being able to walk again. But Chris would not accept a premature end to his gridiron comeback and played in many of the "Huskers" 2003 games. A Criminal Justice graduate, Chris has played professional football (indoor league) the past few years and now hopes to move up to the NFL. Judging by his past record of success in spite of adversity, don't be surprised if you someday see Chris leading an NFL team to Super Bowl glory.
