At just 20 years old, Charlotte has already made her mark on the world of competitive swimming.
Charlotte learned to swim at just three years old and had lessons from the age of six. She trains with her club –Shivers- up to 17 hours a week besides running and general workouts; this young lady is certainly serious about being the very best at her game!
In her first ever International race in 2008 , Charlotte swam in South Africa's 10K Open water Championships coming 5th overall and third fastest Brit thus qualifying for the World Open Water champs 5k in Seville Spain in May 2008, where she finished 21st out of 48. In September 2008 Charlotte was placed 11th in the European Open Water Championships and was GB's top placed swimmer both men’s and women’s races. In Feb 2009 she won Silver in the South African Open Water 10k Championships and has been invited to swim again in SA in 2010. In May 2009 she came 3rd in the European LEN cup and in so doing qualified for the 2009 World Open water Championships 5K in Rome.
