Sun, Surf and Snow Star. A champion in the tradition of athletic versatility started a century ago by the immortal Jim Thorpe, Anton Pogue has reached the summits in a number of diverse sports, including snowboarding, surfing, windsurfing, skateboarding and trampoline. Anton has already competed for the top prizes in each of these varied areas of physical endeavor. A 10-year veteran of the U.S. Snowboarding Team, Anton first donned skis at the age of two and was racing by his seventh birthday. Since then he has captured such titles and awards as: Gold Medal in several 1997 slalom competitions, 1991, 1994 and 2005 slalom national champion, First place in slalom events at the 2005 Nor-Am Cup Games, Olympic qualifier, 2002 and 1996 BX national championship. Anton has also been featured in some Nike Sporting Goods commercials and was named a Chevy S-10 Personality Athlete. He rides, repairs and designs his own boards and teaches various levels of snowboard and surfing camps in both the United States and Chile.
