Mannatech's Own Arkansas Traveler. When it comes to running, Angie Orellano was a "late bloomer." In fact, the lean, toned champion, who is now in her early 60s, but could easily pass for 40, did no running at all until she turned 40. However, when she began, her running career got off to a fast start (pun intended). Winner of the Glenn Cunningham Award, given to the competitor who has the greatest number of 1st place finishes in sanctioned track events; Angie has a number of titles and medals under her belt. She has been named five times the winner of the Arkansas RRCA Female Masters Runner of the Year and holds state records in the 2 mile Grand Masters. Running in the National Senior Olympics in 2000-2005, she brought home 14 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal. She has completed 51 marathons including Pikes Peak marathon 12 times and ran Rim to Rim of the Grand Canyon 3 times and in the Ultra-Marathon category, she has completed twelve 100 milers, eight 50 milers and sixteen 50k's. In January of 2005, Angie was inducted into the Arkansas Roadrunners Club of America Hall of Fame.
During the fall of 2009, Angie was invited to become a member of a tandem bicycle team that would compete in the 29th Race Across America (RAAM) held June 2010. As a rookie cyclist, Angie was able to add strength and stamina to the team. The RAAM 2010 race course was from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD and was completed by the team in 6 days/14 hours and 55 minutes for an average speed of 18.91 mph, over 300 miles. The team set two new records in the tandem category, 1st Place, 4 Tandem Mixed Team and 4 Tandem Mixed Team 50-59 Age Division.
