Delloreen Ennis - Track & Field | Jamaica
No Hurdles Too High. Born in Jamaica and now a residing in Texas, Delloreen Ennis has proven her mettle at mastering the hurdles both on and off the field. A four-time NCAA indoor/outdoor champion representing Abilene Christian University, Delloreen barely missed bringing home a bronze medal from the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where she placed fourth. She took home the silver medal at the World Championships in 2005 and a bronze at Commonwealth Games in 2006. Also, in 2007 she won bronze in Japan and another bronze in 2009 at the World Championships in Berlin. She was recently ranked #2 in the world by USA Track & Field News and holds the PanAm Games record in the 100mh. More than just a star on the cinder track, Delloreen has shown consistent courage in coming back from ACL reconstruction on her right knee. Delloreen has repeatedly shown that she's up to facing even life's most intimidating hurdles. As a member of the 2008 Olympic team in Beijing, Delloreen represented Jamaica and placed 5th in the women's 100m hurdles.
